Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Do you have a favorite song of the season? Here’s mine:
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We’re happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He’ll say: Are you married?
We’ll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you’re in town.
Later on, we’ll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we’ve made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he’s a circus clown
We’ll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
Until the alligators knock him down.
When it snows, ain’t it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We’ll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

My favorite is up on my website. For traditional carols, I like Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

Merry Christmas!

I think I’ll have to agree with you on this one. I love to play a jazzy version of Winter Wonderland on my violin ala Stephane Grapelli along with a great guitarist. Merry Xmas to you and yours. Oh, and here via Michele!

I like “White Christmas” and “All I Want For Christmas is You.” I also just downloaded the Diana Krall version of “Jingle Bells.”

I’ve always liked “One Christmas Catalogue” by Captain Sensible. It’s a catchy ditty. If you’re curious, I uploaded it here.
Or, for the lovelorn and melancholy, there’s “My Christmas Was in June,” by Ze Malibu Kids.
I hope you had a nice one.
love,
