the day after

Your Christmas is Most Like: The Muppet Christmas Carol

You tend to reflect on Christmas past, present, and future…
And you also do a little singing.

ummm, does it matter that i have never liked the muppets? we do the family craziness either before or after Christmas. but for Christmas day we stay home and enjoy our own small family of four. usually we go light looking on Christmas eve. this year we didnt feel like it. we are recovering from “the crud”. omg, NOT fun. Christmas day went well, the kids had fun and enjoyed their presents. froggy feels on top of the world with her cell and will be an accomplished singer soon….if i let the karaoke survive. between her and tweety they were able to get the barbie pegasus and little pet shop play centers together. oh yes, tons of colored plastic! as for me, i will be thrilled to take advantage of a spa package soon! thank you dear! Djembe cooked a wonderfully juicy turkey with exceptional dressing. he’s such a great chef! despite the fact that neither of us feel well it is great to have him home this week.

the holiday is past for us…waiting now for new year’s…but for others:

Happy Chanukah!

It stinks to be sick on Christmas, or any other holiday for that matter. I hope you are all bucking up and getting better. SOunds like you had a great holiday despite the cruds.

Thanbks for stopping by and for your very wonderful comment…I’ so sorry you are feeling ‘punk’…not a lot of fun for the Holidays…But it sounds like it was a lovely Christmas, in spite of being under the weather.
    Good For You & Yours!

I can sympathize with the “sick for Christmas.” If you find my ‘real’ voice, please send it back my way. ;)
When we had kids we set down the law - we don’t leave home on Christmas Day. Anyone that wants to see us that day can come over. Otherwise, it’s Christmas Eve or “the day after.” And that works out really well when the house is ill enough to keep pharmaceutical companies in tidy profits.

    Michele sent me also, Kontan.

The Muppets don’t do much for me either. I didn’t have PBS where I grew up so I didn’t see them at all until I was an adult.

I hope you and your family all feel better. It’s nice that your husband is good with the food prep. That can be a very valuable skill in creating harmony in the home!
