manic…monday thru friday
well, apparently manic monday turned into manic week.lo siento mi blogger amigos.
decisions to make regarding jems arm. tests to grade, tests to make. life goes on, tomorrow is another day.
so just out of curiousity…
What is your favorite quote?
here’s mine:
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

Not that I’m a fan of his, but Nietzsche in his later (crazy) writings, had one that goes something like this: “The world is a cowpasture so you better watch your step.” (am I having a good day? lol)

I really don’t have a fav quote for my life, but I have a fav movie quote: “Sometimes we don’t do the things we want to do so that others don’t know we want to do them”. (The Village)

I could get up and look up the full and proper text of the poem I love to quote the most, but I’m too lazy.
For me, it’s Shel Silverstein’s Listen to the Mustn’ts poem. “Listen to the Mustn’ts child. Listen to the Don’ts…” It ends with my favorite line:
“Then listen close to me. Anything can happen child, anything can be.”

I have so many depending on the mood that I am in… Probably John Lennon’s ‘life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans’, but that doesn’t seem appropriate at the moment!
