I spent the day working on my class website. It is getting close to being finished. I also finished cleaning the kitchen and some of the clutter we had at one end. Yesterday the grass was mowed. The living room is clean AND dusted. The laundry has dwindled to a small pile. It will never be complete, I’m OK with this. Have to be realistic, right? I’ve found several new wordpress plugins that are cool: miniblog, subscribe2, and a few others that will be handy with my school site. I don’t see any reason to add them here. Who knows, I may get bored. Too much to keep me busy right now.
I did take a break to read my current choice, The Chairman by Harry Lee Krauss. He is one of my favorite authors. It is like John Grisham meets Michale Crichton in the world of medicine with a Christian overtone. I’ve read several books by Krauss and each one holds my interest to the point that I get lost in the work. I’ve read The Stain, Lethal Mercy, and Stainless Steel Hearts by Krauss. Each has a different theme and a different twist.I enjoy reading author’s that do not stick to the same plot line over and over. He isn’t over the top with the Christian theme either, I really like that. I won’t to read and enjoy the work without feeling like I’m having a Bible study in the process. There’s a time for that, and my bubble bath is not it. Looking forward to reviewing this one.

I’m going to have to check him out. I want to get back into reading so bad. Right now I’m reading a Max Lucado book because I really need a good Bible study, but I miss my escape into reading too.
BTW–this week I should be getting my new home. I’ve got with a host that will install wordpress for me so I don’t have to, and I’m on the schdule for a new design made for it, so soon I will have my own home. I’m so excited to get my own place. Thanks for all your help!!!!!

I love your class website. It looks great. I’m going to try keeping a classroom blog this year in addition to History Is Elementary.
I applaud you for getting some of your goals eliminated. I have my own to do list that is being whittled down bit by bit. Students return to class August 4th. I go back for pre-planning tomorrow.

Thanks for the recommendation of a good, Christian author! So many times I find them, excuse me, trite. However, I just finished The Visitation by Frank Peretti, and I was very pleased with it. He had a great plot line, and great connections to faith. I’m looking forward to Krauss.
By the way, I don’t have a blog specifically FOR my classroom. I’m working on one about my classroom, which will be up full swing in mid-August.
