but the war produced such great literature on all sides… Hemingway came out of it… as well as anti-war literature. “All Quiet on the Western Front” and “Johnny Got His Gun” are both favorite books

It did, and I would love to introduce some of the lit. My students just don’t grasp the basics though and time is a factor. We’ve looked at a few excerpts.
