And we wonder…
why the legislature can’t get an education budget passed

Rep. William Thigpen Sr., D-Fayette, napped Monday afternoon as legislators talked but
accomplished little on the last day of the session.

Our tax dollars at work…pink slips will abound and a special session will have to be called so an education budget can be created. You know, I have a job where the deadline is the last day of school. I don’t get paid to come back in the summer to finish up what I didn’t bother to do during the regular session. AND if I slept on the job I would get fired!

Well, …..
seems to be the same in every country.
The German politicians now even want more money for it :S

The more they sleep on the job, the less time they have to screw up the state.
Oh that’s…nice. And by nice, I mean not.

A politician is a politician and I would guess the same holds true everywhere. I believe these guys voted themselves a raise last year. Funny how THAT didn’t require a special session. I can get over the pay raise, it had been a while. However, WAKE up and legislate! They are still screwing up the state. Nothing against the higher ed people, even though their lobbyist is being blamed, it sucks for them too. This state has got to figure out that education needs to be priority.
