Outdoor indulgence
Jem decided to indulge me in a day of nature appreciation. We began by packing a picnic and driving north on the Natchez Trace. Beautiful scenery and great places to stop for a quick history lesson or short nature hike. We chose to stop at a place called Holly and enjoy our lunch. While there we played on the rocks and climbed the short trail. After a much enjoyed lunch we continued north and then saw a sign for the David Crocket State Park. It was something new so we embraced the adventure. Definitely a place to visit again. We sampled the hiking and I was able to take several really good pics. Take a look…

Love all the pictures except the one with the snake in it. Not fond of them…
The Natchez Trace is just full of history. I’d love to from the beginning to the end.
Just beautiful. There’s very little like that around these parts, unfortunately.
But come summertime, we’ll get out of town for a while.

Dawn you should try it sometime! Might be a fun motorcycle trip too. We see lots of cycle guys enjoying the Trace ride.
NYC, that is one thing that I love about the South. There’s always a beautiful spot to get away from the hustle and bustle.
The dragonfly is a favorite Annie. I didn’t even know the snowball bush existed until my husband asked about it the other day. Never go on that side of the house!
