Nothing to say…
Well, I guess I can wish happy father’s day to the daddy’s out there.
Happy Father’s Day!
Otherwise I have nothing to offer. Still on the job hunt for NC, but not holding my breath. I had an interview last week or so and will meet with him face to face first of July if it isn’t filled. It is a private school and I am not certain if I will take it even if it is offered. Beautiful campus with intense expectations, it would be an honor to work there, even for less money. However, my own children would likely not be allowed to attend. They could meet the academic expectations, but I don’t think there is time to test in and without a tuition break we can’t afford $9000 per child. YIKES! I am already in love with the historic campus. Tense, love to have your input on the advantages and disadvantages of private school teaching.
I have an interview next week for a charter school in the area. It too is by phone and it has already been discussed that she wants a face to face. The pay would be better and I think it would be something I would enjoy. I know the school has high expectations for students and faculty. I may even be able to sponsor Mock Trial again. The former sponsor took the team to nationals last year. Very impressive. I would like to be offered this position, but again…not holding my breath on anything.
I still have my same position, and still no classroom. At least it is familiar, even if frustrating. If I am offered a position in NC I have decided to give my current admin the opportunity to offer a classroom before resigning. That is a path to explore later on the trail.
Life as a SAHM is not my cup of tea, coffee, or bottle of soda. Just not my thing. We are keeping busy cleaning house and organizing. The girls swapped rooms yesterday and just about finished that adventure today. They have to move their clothes before all is complete. My kitchen cabinets are organized. Our lack of cabinet/counter space is a nightmare. Only one more year here at the most…we can do it.
After battling with the university and government agencies it looks like Jem will be back in class come July. At least that is today’s verdict. It is really alarming when you contact a government agency about an issue and their response is “whoops” and they tell you it will take 90 days to fix. WTH! You screw up my status and you say whoops? A letter and many phone calls later the 90 days issue seems to be a non-issue…at least at this point. I’m so proud of my 4.0 Dean’s list guy. ~*~
Now, off to enjoy Merlot and The Next Food Network Star with Jem.
Thanks for stopping by!
