Frustration of the day

Teaching an AP course you have to submit your syllabus for review.  This is something I was NOT aware of until well after school started.   I took my syllabus and reworked it so that it reflected all of the resources I planned to use throughout the year.  My syllabus was based on the samples provided by AP Central.   When I say based, I mean cut/copy/paste the body, rework the dates, and add my stuff to the end.

After almost two months of waiting and 25 days from the deadline I am informed that my syllabus was rejected!  CRAP CRAP CRAP.   Now I have to go back through and offer justification for all of the AP Central objectives I included.  You know what I would really like to do?  I would like to teach my class, NOT rework a document that is rather useless in the grand scheme of things!

This sucks.

Oh no . . . I can’t believe they drug it on this long before letting you know! :( Both Hope and I can’t offer enough condolences about this. It just floors me how these different school districts can string stuff along and wait and wait and then expect the teachers to snap to attention to complete things.

If there’s anything I can do to help, let me know.

Admin was as floored as I was. Fortunately she hates paperwork just as much and understands other things will have to be tabled until this is complete. Thanks for the thoughts. It will all work out.
