We are sitting in the waiting room. Lil Bit hasn’t gone back yet. She was nervous last night, but is currently enjoying a riviting game of hang man with Daddy. Praying for an easy time and smooth recovery.

For a surgery center there is a lot of noise and activity. I could do without the less than soothing background tunes. Chatty people, ok fine, but music with a good beat for background noise is just not what I need right now.

Ya think?

Gee, ya think it might be just a little defective? It only took them a week and a tripling in size spill to figure it out. Yes, these are our nation’s leaders.

DC day 1

I’m exploring DC with the girls and having a great time. There is so much to do and not enough time or energy to do it all. Living here would drive me crazy, but it is a nice place to visit.

So far no major issues. Getting around takes a little getting used to. I could also do without this lady who can’t/won’t control her young.

Guess I should just get mine out of the way before they do something really stupid. Hotel pool…gotta love it.

As I wait for mock trial to start I sit in the campus student center and people watch. Across the room some are studying. On the couch to my left a couple sits and looks at info/pics on a laptop. The guy has his arms across the back of the couch. He is trying to look nonchalant as he sits there, left arm across and slightly behind the back of the couch and his right on the back of the couch, but not quite touching her. He’s almost giddy. She is seemingly absorbed by the computer content but smiles at him occassionally. His hopes are high. People walk through, some shuffle and some with purpose. Guys in a conference room must be playing a card game or something. Every few minutes I hear “oh!” And “ooo.”
And there’s the greek boys, walking through with their white shirt with tie and khali pants, ready for the eve. A quick game of pool must start them off right. Nothing like disrupting the quiet and seeking a little extra attention.

Guess I should at least pretend to accomplish something. *stretch-yawn*

Saturday night lights

Curled up on the couch watching football with Jem. I had great hope that MSU would beat Bama but it doesn’t look like they are going to get on the board. AU is stressing us out in a nail-biter against UGA. It would be nice to get a win. I’m watching through a medicated haze though. After spending the day at Renaissance Festival I am way tired and experiencing a little pain. Hoping a relapse is not in my future. That would not be cool. Hopefully Ren.Fest pics will be the subject of my next post. Happy weekend peoples!

Spent the weekend dealing with Lil Bit. She probably had the flu, but we shall not know b/c doc said treat the symptons and don’t bring her in unless there is concern. We spent the last two dauys battling fever and managed to keep it below 103. Yesterday was the most difficult but today she seems to be on the mend. Low grade fever and now fever free. Now if we can get the sore throat under control it will be back to school.

I have received a couple of emails from students saying they are sick, swine flu. Lovely. I so don’t want to be sick. We have weekend plans.
